Midrash Rabbah -- Exodus 41:7

AND THE TABLES WERE THE WORK OF GOD, AND THE WRITING WAS THE WRITING OF GOD, GRAVEN (HARUTH) UPON THE TABLES (Exodus 42 16). What is the meaning of HARUTH? This was discussed by Rabbi Judah, Rabbi Jeremiah, and the Sages. Rabbi Judah said: Read not HARUTH (GRAVEN), but heyruth (free) from captivity. [footnote states: Supra, XXXII, 1.
