"One of the books [about Moses and the Old Testament seen during a field trip to the Harvard Divinity School] talked about how the people actually walked through the Red Sea," Katzenberg said. "They could reach in to the wall of water and pull out sustenance. That gave the artist the idea that you could reach through and get a fish.
"And if you had little fish, you could have big fish. So, a picture tells a thousand words, so we set up the scale and size of the event so we could re-create just how terrifying the experience must have been."
