Guardian Royal

Shila Zeru is the 16 to 19 year old future princess of Zeru who is sent to the past to protect the Shadow Princess.  She's very stubborn, energetic, and fun loving.  In the Kingdom of Zeru she constantly fights with her younger brother Janus II, even though she really cares about him.   Her best friend there isn't human, but is actually Janus Cysid, Alfador's son.  She despises her father, Janus Zeru, and blames him for the death of her mother, Celia Taroi.  She doesn't really like Lebauer, her step mother, and her step brothers, Dauth and Leib, but she's unusually loving to her half sisters, Seluna, Laila, and Charon, here half brother.  By time time she's 17 she has a son called Arion-Daeric.  After he's born she is a lot calmer, and more considerate to the rest of her family.  She uses shadow magic like Janus, but hers is not as powerful.  She doesn't have Janus's bad health, or carry the gene for it at all.

Shila got fed up with her role as oldest child of the King of Zeru when she was 14, so she ran away from home and became a bounty hunter.  Over the next two years she got to be very good at hunting people down, and was able to make a decent living for herself.  When she was 16 Goddess Brigitte appeared to her, and told her that she must be a Mystic Guardian.  Brigitte gave her the mark of the ancient royal family of the Shadow Sprites, and a clip with the same design.  She was born to be Guardian Royal, the sworn protector of the Shadow Princess who will bring a new era on Sombren.  Deeandra, the Shadow Princess, was too young to protect herself from the people who don't want to see the new era come about.  Shila excitedly accepted her job.  She saw it as the chance to outshine Guardian Shadow, and be the most important Zeru.

Shila tried to protect Deeandra on her own, but the forces of Centrios were too much for her to handle.  Brigitte decided that she needed the other Guardians to help her, so she got the Guardian of Time to send the two girls, and J.C. to the past.  Once there Shila worked to break up Janus and Lebauer, since she was afraid that if they were together she'd never be born.  He started hating her quickly because she made his life so hard.  It takes her awhile to be accepted as a true Guardian, and few people believe her story about being from the future at first.  When Centrios is defeated she returns to the future where she has to fight the last of his forces.  That battle is very hard on her since it's where Janus II is blinded, and her fiancé, Arion Kamilkali, is killed protecting her.  When she comes back in Mystic Guardians Divine, she's a few years older, and a lot wiser.  She's always with Arion Daeric, except when she's fighting.  Even though she's finally started getting along with adult Janus, she still bickers with kid Janus constantly.  She even continues to try and break little Janus and Lebauer up again, but she's stopped by Seluna.   In the far future she is one of the Pillars of Neo-Continuity.
