On his tenth birthday Janus Zeru found a strange black mark on his forehead and was told by the Goddess Brigitte that he must protect the enchanted world of Kwancha from an onslaught of otherworldly opponents.  He's joined by other Guardians, each of a different element.  As they fight together and with each other their loyalties are tested and their relationships change.  There are three stories arcs in this series, each with a slightly different name.  Overall, it's a little bit of everything from comedy to philosophy,  focusing on friendship, love, prejudice, fate and freewill with a lean towards the shoujo side of things.
