Prologue

From a distance the planet of Kwancha would appear to be very similar to Earth, and in general they are alike.  Their oceans are both filled with salt water, and their skies are both rich with oxygen.  Both worlds are teeming with life, and grand civilizations.  However, they are far from identical.  Kwancha is noticibly smaller than Earth, but it's life filled second moon seems to balance off that difference.  Both worlds have "humanity", but on Kwancha humanity isn't limited to just true humans.  There are also the maolyns, blue hair, elf-like creatures; the sprites, elemental beings with mortal souls; cenutaurgons, a race of people half human, and half animal; Listiagolens, humans with feline accents; and finally the Hypsidians, an evolved form of house cat.  Of all the races however, humans and maolyns dominated.  Kwancha is also an enchanted world where the natural power of the planet could be tapped for the benefit, or misfortune of it's inhabitants.  This "magic" became the basis of Kwanchan technology, as well as their traditional caste system.  Maolyns were held in highest regard, since their magical abilities were the most impressive.  Humans who also wielded this power were seen as respectable while those who did not were less valued.  This caste system was most strictly held in the Kingdom of Zeru, which was the dominating nation on this world.  Other powerful countries such as Mirana, and Pranar cared far less about the traditional system of contempt, and in Pandora it had been completely discarded.  Despite these issues and conflicts, the world was generally peaceful.  Most conflicts were resolved in the annual Conference of the Four Powers, and those that were not never went beyond skirmishes.  Though deep hatred would always exist, it was balanced by unbreakable love.  It was a world blessed with gods, and goddesses who made their presence known, through interference.  Kwancha would eternally remain a world kept in balance by extremes, and maybe that's where true perfection lies.

Prelude

As long as there have been misfortunes in the world, some people have wished for the power to change the past.  It's human nature to desire to preserve the lives of the ones we care about.  However, it is better that most people don't possess the ability to change time, since altering one event might change the world's fate.  For better or worse, interfering with time will always change the course of people's lives.  You might not realize it at the time, but you could be better off with the life you already have.

Princess Shaela Zeru, however, was completely destroyed by the death of her brother, Janus.  Her life could not possibly become any worse than it was after he was killed.  For this reason she choose to alter time to prevent his death.  Her changes were so drastic that the entire course of both their lives were practically rewritten., and the memories of them lost.  Whether or not their new lives will be any better than their old has yet to be seen.

Can anything be set right, or only set alternatively?
