Alfador Cysid is a 27 year old Hypsidian male.
During the Mystic Guardians series he is Janus's mentor, and is often seen
following him or giving him advice. He is highly intelligent, far
above the average Hypsidian. He's a dedicated scholar, who spends
most of his free time studying language and physics. He loves astronomy,
and hopes to someday discover his own planet. Janus admires him in some
ways, but he eventually starts to want more space from his Hypsidian mentor.
Alfador and Janus remain friends though, despite occasional disagreements.
He also befriends Kalton, and scolds Janus when ever he teases him.
Alfador doesn't like to fight, but he's willing to join a battle if someone
he cares about is in danger. Unfortunately, it was his peaceful nature
that got him exiled from Lysia. When his younger brother, Aubin,
was killed in a battle he refused to take part in his older brother (and
Lysian ruler), Artimiz, exiled him. Very soon after his exile he
was hired by Queen Jena Zeru, and given the collar which allowed him to
speak any dialect (he later learned human language on his own, though he
continued wearing the collar for style). Though he's sort of bashful
around girls, he eventually marries Leahaun, and they have many children
together. Of all their kids, only Janus Cysid (J.C) ever plays an
important role. In Mystic Guardians Divine he, Leahaun, and J.C are
transformed into a 10 ft high demon that guards the gateway to Serphinese's
Lair. Janus defeats them, and later brings them back to life.
