This airshow was one of the best airshows I have ever seen in Western North America, along with
the 1986 Abbotsford International Airshow and the USAF 50th Anniversary at Nellis AFB in 1997.
The most impressive demonstrations were provided by the US Navy Strike and Air
Warfare Center out of NAS Fallon, Nevada and the 366th Wing from Mountain Home AFB, Montana. The
NSAWC demo consisted of five F/A-18 Hornets (three in Aggressor colours), three F-14 Tomcats
(two in Aggressor colours), and an SH-60F Ocean Hawk. The 366th Wing performed an eight aircraft
flyby including a B-1B Lancer, KC-135R Stratotanker, two F-16CJ Fighting Falcons, two F-15C
Eagles, and two F-15E Eagles. There were also performances by the Snowbirds and Golden Knights,
as well as F-16, F-15, and F/A-18 single ship demos. The civilian line-up was equally impressive,
including the Northern Lights, Sean Tucker, Jim Leroy, Wayne Handley, Rocky Hill, Greg Poe,
and many others.
