Groups of up to 7-8 males can often be seen chasing each other along rivers in primary and secondary forest. Females are much less frequent and usually are seen while visiting flowers in clearings. |

| Remarks: | Pareronia nishiyamai is very similar in appearance to the common and widespread Pareronia valeria. Male Pareronia nishiyamai is most easily distinguished from Pareronia valeria by a row of spots along the forewing termen. Females of both species are very difficult to tell apart by habitus only. |
