Dino Ciccarelli got two goals and one assist. Mikael Renberg also scored twice.
The Lighting lose to the New Jersey Devils 4-3 for the season's first loss.
Rob Zamuner got the season's first short-handed goal and Jason Wiemer added
two late goals in a sixteen second time span. Dino Ciccarelli got two assists.

Tampa Bay tied the Buffalo Sabres 1-1. Alexander Selivanov got his first goal of the
season. Daymond Langkow had a goal disallowed because Dino Ciccarelli was ruled to
be in the crease.
Tampa beat Chicago 4-1 in Chicago to start off the road trip with a victory. Rob Zamuner
missed on a penalty shot but got an empty net goal later in the game.Daymond Langkow
scored the game winner. Igor Ulanov added a goal and an assist. Brian Bradley got his
first score of the season with a power play goal.
The Lightning got shutout by the champion Redwings 3-0 in Detroit. Backup goalie Corey
Schwab played instead of Daren Puppa. He was outplayed by Detroit netminder Chris
Osgood. The Lightning had chances, but could not convert.
The Lightning lost to the Florida Panthers 2-1 in Miami. The only goal scored was by
defenseman Karl Dykhuis. The Lightning were without Dino Ciccarelli and Mikael
Renberg.
Tampa lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-1 at the Ice Palace in Tampa. Jeff Norton
got a power play goal to open the scoring. The Penguins tied the score when they
scored a power play goal with a 2 man advantage.
The New Jersey Devils shut out Tampa 5-0. The only Lightning player to score was
Roman Hamrlik, but it was in his own net.
Tampa and Philadelphia met in Philly for the first time since the signing of Tampa's
Chris Gratton by the Flyers and the trade of Renberg and Dykhuis. The Lightning were
on the short end of the 7-1 score. Dino Ciccarelli was the only Tampa scorer. Both
teamshad goals disallowed because of players in the crease. Daren Puppa started the
game and left with a strained neck. Corey Schwab finished the game.

Tampa tied the Bruins 2-2 in Boston. Valdimir Vujtek scored his first goal of the
season and Rob Zamuner also scored for the Lightning. Corey Schwab played in goal
for the injured Daren Puppa. Puppa has a strained neck, suffered in the lost to the
Flyers.
The Lightning started out with a two goal lead in their game with the New York
Rangers and managed to lose 4-3. Alex Selivanov, Patrick Poulin, and Jason Wiemer
all got goals in the losing effort. Corey Schwab surrendered a goal on a penalty
shot by Mike Keane.
Tampa Bay started the post-Crisp era with a loss to the Los Angeles Kings. Paul
Ysebaert finally got on the score board with his first goal of the year. The
Lightning had a goal by Alex Selivanov disallowed during a power play and lost a
second-period score when referee Terry Gregson ruled Dino Ciccarelli redirected
Roman Hamrlik's drive with a high stick. Daren Puppa was back in the net after
missing two games with a strained neck. Brian Bradley separated his shoulder
during the game.
The Lightning got beat yet again. This time it was the Ottawa Senators 5-2. Paul
Ysebaert got both of Tampa's goals. It was Rick Paterson's second loss in as
many games as interim head coach. The Lightning let in a short handed goal
by Shawn McEachern and scored a short handed goal.
