Kate's Miniature
Golden Labradoodles

Miniature Golden Labradoodles are bred by crossing a male Apricot Toy Poodle with a female Golden Labrador Retriever.
They don't look at all like either parent breed and although they range in size and colour they are sufficiently similar to be instantly recognisable as Labradoodles.
They look like "shaggy dogs" without being so hairy as to need clipping or extra grooming.
Our breeding dogs are selected on their temperament and health. In addition, the pups have "hybrid vigour", a well recognised phenomenon in animal breeding. The first cross between two unrelated purebred lines is always healthier and grows better than either parent line.
Labradors and Toy Poodles have very few genetic diseases in common. In particular, the problem of hip and elbow "dysplasia", causing early and severe arthritis, which is so common in Labradors, is unheard of in Toy Poodles.
Our Labradoodles are bred with the intention of becoming family pets. They may not suit every family and we will always try to give honest advice regarding whether they are likely to suit you. We aim to produce happy pets and satisfied owners.
Puppies, like people, are partly a product of their genes and partly a product of their environment. To grow up into happy, well adjusted dogs, pups must be socialised properly. All our pups come with a manual which gives an introduction to understanding dog behaviour, tips on how to deal with house training, some references if you wish to learn more and a list of obedience classes available.
