Self-Portrait
At first, this was just
going to be a little doodle that was going to go
on the "about me" page... But then, I
had a little extra time(which seems to be the
case, nowadays), and I hadn't added new art in a
while so I used the awesome coloring power of
CRAYOLA. Note : the earrings are in the wrong
ear, whoops.

The Fist of
Justice
This guy doesn't have a
name, I just was doodling and I came up with this
cool pose. It's in pencil, so it scanned kinda
light. And no, his fist isn't really that big,
it's just *perspective* .

Nehani and
Baby from Guardian's Crusade
I was intrigued by the
character of Baby of "Knight and Baby"
(Guardian's Crusade in the USA) for two reasons :
he spoke in this incredibly weird language, and
he was fat and clumsy which gave him an uncanny
resemblance to my pet rabbit, Bun-Bun. I decided
to color it in crayons to relate to the childish
nature of a game(plus my photoshop coloring
skills are pretty shabby). Nehani the fairy is
flying next to him, sort of ashamed of his
stupidity. Note : I used 8 different variations
of the color pink.

Feena from
Grandia
Feena is a character from
the Playstation game Grandia, one of the greatest
games I've ever played. It took me around 65
hours and almost five months to beat(of course I
stopped playing it between the months of November
and early February), and I must say that if you
like RPGs it's a must own. Feena is one of the
main characters from the game, and her background
is pretty cool. I drew this picture on a
Valentine's Day card because I had nothing better
to do.
|
The Demon Child
I drew this little guy
because I wanted to draw a little kid, but have
him be a freak in some way. Those things hanging
off of his head aren't antennae, but really long
bangs. Also notice him giving the sign of the
devil. I designed his outfit myself, and I think
that the cape adds alot, along with his cool
shirt. Cute, eh?

Mysterious
Mystery Girl in a Dress
This is a pic I drew of a
"mysterious mystery girl" in this
really cool dress, based on a picture that she
drew. Well, it's mostly ripped off of a picture
she drew. But I made the legs longer and added
some hearts and stuff so I guess that it's
different. I think it looks really awesome. Note
: could this "mystery girl" possibly be
my ex-girlfriend? ...Nah. You need to relax,
buddy.

Ryo-Ohki
from Tenchi Muyo
Here is Ryo-Ohki, one of my
favorite characters from the Tenchi Muyo series.
In case you didn't know, Ryo-Ohki is a half
rabbit/ half cat creature(a cabbit) that can turn
into a spaceship. Really.
|
Rockman
from Rockman Dash
This is Rockman, otherwise
known as Mega Man here in the US. I got the game
around Christmas, and I really liked the colorful
character designs so I decided to draw Rockman
and his little robotic monkey friend, Data. If my
scanner was a little bigger, I could fit the
whole picture in, but I think I did a pretty good
job. Running down the right side of the picture
it says "Rockman" in Japanese.
|
Ryoko from
Tenchi Muyo
I drew this for someone as
part of their Christmas gift, and I think it
turned out really good. I especially like the
shading. It rocks and stuff.

Makoto from
El Hazard
After finally seeing El
Hazard, I know who this guys is. He gets trapped
in this other world where he occasionally has to
dress up as a woman to disguise himself. His
alcoholic teacher also gets trapped along with
him, and for some reason in the alternate world
he has super powers. Don't ask me. I think this
pose is from when someone is trying to kill him.

Rally
Vincent from Gunsmith Cats
I was home sick, and I just
got finished watched the three part OVA Gunsmith
Cats, so I decided to draw this. I like her
little sideburn things, they were really fun to
draw.
|
The Mayor
from The Nightmare Before Christmas
This is the mayor from one
of my all-time favorite mavies. He's one of my
favorite characters because his design is just so
cool. His head flips around when his emotions
change. This is a drawing of the happy side.
|
Tom and
Crow from MST3K
I shouldn't be trying to
pass off some lame doodles I did in my planner as
art, but I really liked the shading. Crow looks
kinda funky, so let's just call him
"abstract" for now.

Filbert Yet
Again
Here he is again... i drew
this about 2 years ago from the episode
"Closet Clown." Someone drew an obscene
thing on Filbert a while ago, but using
computers, i was able to fix it up. Computers...
is there anything they CAN'T do?
|
Goku and Pikachu
Goku from DBZ and Pikachu
from Pokemon. It didnt scan very well, because
it's all in pencil. I drew Goku before I even
knew what Dragon Ball was, so it may look a
little weird.
|
Krillin in Shock
I forget which episode this
one is from... But it's drawn right after the
scene where Piccolo grows his arm back. I paused
the TV and sketched by looking at the screen, I
think I did a pretty good job.

The
Cartoon Alphabet Part One Part Two Part Three
This is a project I had to
do for Art 1. We had to draw the alphabet using
plants, animals, or anthing we could think of. So
of course I chose cartoons. Most of the cartoons
are my originals, but see if you can spot the
stolen toons.
|
Weezer Cartoon
Sort of a crappy rendition
of a drawing of Weezer i saw in an old Weezine...
The boys have no mouths, but someone drew mouths
on them once. I tried to erase it the best i
could... Lousy dork... Props to Lily for the
scan.
|
Yamucha
From Dragon Ball
I enjoy the first series of
shows and the early comics a little more because
the art style wasn't so anal-retentive. I drew
Yamucha on my (green) folder because he has cool
design, dub voice, and I wanted to see if I could
imitate Toriyama's earlier style. This is one of
my favorites. Props to Lily for the scan.
|
Squall From
Final Fantasy 8
I tried to draw Squall in a
sort of anime-esque style, and I think it turned
out pretty well... Although I'm not too fond of
his legs or the coloring.
|
Goten
From Dragon Ball Z
Little Goten is my favorite
character for the series, and Toriyama is one of
my favorite manga artists, so I figure why not
draw him? I drew this while looking at DB volume
#40.
|
Hugo
from The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Disney)
I did this one when i was
obsessed with the movie, in my so called Disney
period. Hugo is the wisecracking sidekick (all
Disney movies have em') and I think I captured
him well. All the shading was done with some
serious thumb-rubbing, which I later found out
was evil
by my art teacher.
|
Clopin
From HoND
Another cool character,
this was the first one of the series I drew. He's
one of the characters that didn't change much
from the book
|
Quasimodo
From HoND
The guy's got heart, and a
big hump... OK, I'm sick of Disney movies now.
Everybody go see The Iron Giant.

Liner Notes
| Most of this art
was done from 1997 - 2000 and originally
uploaded to my old page. I'm not too fond
of some of the pictures, now that I
consider myself a much better artist.
However, I felt that even if they weren't
the best pictures, I did spend a lot of
time on them so they should have a place
somewhere on the web. Hence, the Anime
Art page. |
