There are basically two ways of using email one is web based these are services like yahoo mail and hotmail. The other kind is client based this is where email is accessed from a program such as outlook express. I find this far more useful since I can write my email offline and check multiple accounts at the same time.
POP3 and SMTP are the most common way of accessing email via an external program. The POP3 server is used to download email, and the SMTP server is used to send email. You might want to have a look at my guide to Configuring Your Email Accounts.

I don't have accounts with all of these, and therefore I had to get this
information via third parties so if it is inaccurate then please tell me, the one I'm unsure about is the global net smtp server perhaps any
If your ISPs servers aren't shown above and you know them, then please tell me what they are. If you need to know you ISPs severs say to set up multiple email accounts and they aren't above but you already use an email account with that ISP, you need to look at your account settings.
Select accounts from the tools menu.
Select the account you have with your isp, and click Properties.
Select the server tab.
Select preferences from the edit menu, at the bottom of the dialogue you should see the SMTP server.
Select mail servers and then click edit, this will so you the pop3 server.
If you can't look at an existing account and your servers aren't listed above then look on your ISPs help page if they aren't there contact your ISP. Once you know what they are I would appreciate it if you would Tell Me.
