FRED TAYLOR

1999

Fred had a rough time in 1999 as a member of the Tijuana Teletubbies being nothing but a benchwarmer behind Edgerrin James.  In Week 7,  Fred shockingly attempted to desert the team.  The Teletubbies held a closed-door meeting where they gave Fred a little "lesson" as to why that was a bad idea. Taylor had to go on the injured list for a few weeks.

While Taylor was on the shelf, Billy Graham attempted to convert him to join the Vatican City Saints, just like he has converted millions to Christianity. However, Taylor's teammates broke through Graham's office door in the middle of his sermon and dragged Taylor away, then administered another beating for his disloyalty.

Next the Orlando Swingers attempted to bribe Fred Taylor to desert the league-leading Teletubbies and sign up with them. However, when Taylor went to cash the one million dollar bribe check it bounced.  After his teammates found out about this latest transgression... let's just say that his time on the injured list had to be increased a few weeks.

Even after Taylor's health returned, Tijuana coach Dougie Fresh refused to insert him into the lineup.  Fred spent the last few weeks of 1999 sitting on the Tijuana bench, eating chalupas.
