The Napigator Way:
Building off the idea that you should just be able to bypass the blocked server, and connect directly to one of the napster servers, there comes Napigator. It basically wraps around your napster client, and allows you to select the server that you connect to, bypassing the two redirect servers. By now, most of these additional napster servers has been blocked by the univeristy, but you still have the option of accessing the "opennap" servers.. Instructions are easy... These directions alraedy assume that you grabbed the napster client..
Step 1:
Click here for Napigator.
Step 2:
Run your napster client, and let it have it's error messages.
Step 3:
Run the napigator program from wherever you put it, and pick a server. Due to an "understanding" between the guy who wrote napigator, and the good folks at napster, the ping and user results won't be returned for the napster servers. The opennap servers, however, do not have this problem..
